Playing on the 3G surface seemed to suit the new found passing style of the Kestrels who gained instant rewards playing in a new formation with wing backs.
A solid start with Willcocks and Russell combining well in central midfield soon created an opening for Hirst playing in an attacking midfield role who riffled home home the edge of the box. Even better was to follow when the selfless work from Prescod up front created an opening for left wing back Robinson who scored from outside the area to put the Kestrels 2-0 at the break.
A great team move down the left then provided an opening for substitute Hulley who calmly slotted home, and soon after Stone scrambled home from close range. Mountsorrel then dominated for the final 20 minutes, and only strong defending from Knight & Cowan kept them at bay along with a faultless display in goal from Bootheway who kept his first clean sheet of the season with a very solid handling display.
