Sunday saw an end to end game contested on a bumpy pitch that was in need of some heavy machinery to flatten the playing surface, if only the home team had access to the equipment :) Kibworth having comfortably won their last game went in to this fixture with confidence sky high, however this game was going to prove to be a much harder game, The Hawks struggled to get control of the game in midfield which ultimately led to an end to end game, with 17 minutes to go the home side opened the scoring with a well struck free kick from 25 yards. Kibworth reacted in the best way possible and took the game straight back to Caterpillar a jinking run down the right wing saw a cross whipped in to the box and Kibworth score the equalizer which set the game up for a exciting finale. Both teams pressed and with the Hawks spirits lifted the visitors piled on the pressure leading to several corners, finally the ball fell kindly to the Kibworth forward who reacted quickest and the ball whistled in to the top corner. With 5 minutes to go Caterpillar pushed harder trying to equalize but The Hawks tenacious midfielder won the ball on the left wing inside his own half, he then played a ball up the line for the Kibworth striker to win a foot race to the ball he cut inside the penalty area and had the composure to look up and play the ball to the maundering Right Back who neatly round the keeper and slotted the ball in to the net to increase the winning margin for the visitors.
