Demolition Job

Sunday saw Kibworth host Syston in a 10.30 kick off at The Theater of Dreams. Training the day before had seen the squad work on defensive shape and the new formation deployed in the 2nd half at Kegworth game last week. Kibworth had a good warm up and time for a team photo showing off their new kit and Sponsor The BridgeHouse Barn , kick off was slightly delayed because the opposition struggled to find the ground. The Hawks opened the scoring as they set out to record the 1st win of the season, however Syston pegged the Home team back straightway through some sloppy defending. Molby and Quinn's blood pressure was rising to dangerous levels on the touchline as they frantically paced up and down the touchline trying to get the boys to relax and play their natural free flowing game. Eventually everything clicked into place and saw Kibworth totally dominated possession and went in at half time leading by 4 clear goals, this could of and should of been 5 as the referee failed to give a penalty and told Micky Quinn at half time that it was a penalty, due to the scoreline he didn't give it and was mindful that if a team gets 9 clear goals ahead he has to abandon the fixture!!! The 2nd half was no different to the first, the Hawks dominated the game which saw the opposition try to kick a few of the Hawks off the pitch but the home side let their football do the talking and them ran out comfortable winners.

Train with the Best - Win a training session with the England 6-a-side squad
